These assignments ask students to read and respond to the report: The ShakeOut Earthquake Scenario—A Story That Southern Californians Are Writing, U.S.Geological Survey, Circular 1324, while taking into consideration their own personal circumstances and the environment that they would be surrounded with in the event of an actual earthquake.
