On Thursday, Oct. 16: The Great California ShakeOut Drill Join The Tech Museum and more than 20 million people around the globe in the Great ShakeOut, an annual earthquake preparedness exercise that is as fun as it is important. The drill is set for 10:16 a.m. - don't be late! The Tech will host 800+ students, teachers, chaperones and museum guests during the ShakeOut Drill on Thursday, 10/16 @ 10:16a.m

Earthquake Month @ The Tech Museum of Innovation!
October is Earthquake Month at The Tech, and there’s a whole slate of opportunities for you to come learn about - and prepare for - California’s most unexpected natural phenomena!

Thursday, Oct. 16: The Great California ShakeOut Drill-- Come to The Tech and join more than 20 million people around the globe in the Great ShakeOut, an annual earthquake preparedness exercise that is as fun as it is important. The drill is set for 10:16 a.m. - don't be late!

The Tech will host 800+ students, teachers and chaperones and museum guests during the ShakeOut Drill on Thursday, 10/16 @ 10:16a.m

Meet a local Firefighter, learn about the American Red Cross earthquake app, talk to a Geophysicist/Seismologist
from the US Geological Survey, and meet an engineer who works for CalTrans to hear about the San Francisco Bay Bridge retrofit.

See “Forces of Nature” in the Hackworth IMAX Dome Theater -- Witness the awesome spectacle of earthquakes, volcanoes, and severe storms, and learn what scientists are doing to help predict and prepare for nature’s most destructive forces. Shows Weekdays at 11 a.m.
