ShakeOut Week @ The Tech Museum

October 16 - 26, 2014, : , Community Event at Tech Museum of Innovation

Participate in the largest earthquake drill in California, 10:16am on 10/16/14 with over 500 school groups and guests as we learn how to protect ourselves in an earthquake and we practice "DROP, COVER and HOLD ON" in New Venture Hall.

Loma Prieta 25th Anniversary Memorial in Oakland

We are planning a moment of silence at 5:04PM on Oct. 17, 2014 in Oakland Memorial "Earthquake" Park. We will remember the victims, those injured and honor everyone who responded to the Cypress Structure at 5:04 PM on October 17, 1989. Our event will start at 3PM and is scheduled to end at 6PM.

October 18, 2014, 10 am - 3 pm, Exhibition at Lake Elsinore Diamond (Storm Stadium) (Riverside County)

City of Lake Elsinore and its volunteer CITIZEN CORPS organization will be presenting its 5th annual SHAKEOUT EXPO on Saturday October 18th, 2014 from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the city’s historic Diamond Stadium, home of the Lake Elsinore STORM baseball team. The SHAKEOUT EXPO is an admission free, “fun-festival” like public event designed to communicate through live presentations, hands on interactive demonstrations and exhibitions an essential knowledge for personal emergency disaster planning and preparedness.
