Our office staff of 10 participated in the drill. We had a meeting one hour prior, discussing BEFORE, DURING and AFTER topic points concerning the drill; handouts and flyers were provided from the website to the attendees. We tuned our computers to a local radio station and visited the website prior to the drill to go through the information, game and quiz provided. We were under our desks during the drill, met for a headcount after and, also, had a post drill discussion. We assessed our office emergency kit supplies, shared past earthquake experiences, had a show & tell of an emergency kit and thought about areas outside of work, in regards to the seven step earthquake process. We finished the day more concious of earthquake preparedness, both for professional and personal environments. We will progress to an Intermediate or Advanced Business Operations Drill next year with pictures to post on the website.
