Norma Heaton (Executive Director - Solheim Lutheran Home)
Seventy-one staff members of the Solheim Lutheran Home participated in the drill. They reviewed basic procedures to be followed during and after an earthquake, and located all residents within 10 minutes. Read more...

Art Mayoff (Emergency Coordinator - Benicia Amateur Radio Club)
The Benicia Amateur Radio Club conducted a 10 hour drill on Oct 15th, 2009 as part of the "Great California Shakeout." Stations from Solano, Contra Costa and San Francisco counties checked in hourly simulating their availability. This drill was intended to provide a resource list of such available stations, and it was a successful event. Read more...

The department held their drill to coincide with their monthly staff meeting. They put questionnaires under each desk and discussed additional problems after the drill.
