Join former California Governor Pete Wilson, policymakers, emergency services professionals, and other seismic safety leaders at the Northridge 20 Symposium on January 16-17, 2014.

Northridge 20 commemorates the twentieth anniversary of the 1994 Northridge earthquake. The two-day event at the University of California, Los Angeles will open on Thursday, January 16, 2014 with a multidisciplinary plenary session, “Northridge Earthquake: Impacts, Outcomes, and Next Steps.” Presentations and panel discussions with government officials, emergency managers, and community leaders will focus on challenges and necessary steps forward to mitigate the impacts of future earthquakes.

On Friday, January 17, 2014, the symposium will continue with a state policymaker panel followed by detailed professional and technical field break-out sessions on Business, Insurance, and Financial Implications, Resilience Case Studies and Tools, Risk Communication, and more.
