Come to the ShakeZone! Join the City of Coquitlam, Pinetree Secondary and Douglas College at Pinetree Community Centre for an emergency preparedness event to learn about earthquake safety and test the earthquake simulator!
Full Description:
The City of Coquitlam in partnership with SD43 (Pinetree Secondary) Pinetree Community Centre and Douglas College is hosting the Quake Zone on Oct 18 from 08:30 -15:00. The location will be the Pinetree Community Centre parking lot. We will have booths from Fortis and IBC and hope to have Coquitlam SAR, Coquitlam Amateur Radio, Salvation Army, Red Cross and St John Ambulance as well (those last NGO’s TBA). I’m planning on combining this event with ShakeOut, one day in advance of the regular ShakeOut earthquake drill.
